Two Minute Tuesday - eye

I am Eye
Eye am I
Oh let me see before I die

The light comes in
My tears flow out
And when I’m closed in darkness’ doubt

Eye I am
Now I see
The flowing red blood spilled for me

The yellow crown
Of glory grown
The white robe gown
Of cleansed sin

No more blackness
No more death
I’ve gone beyond my dying breath

Not many people see eye to eye on everything. And what do you do when you don't see eye to eye on everything?  Some people fight and argue, attempting to persuade the other. Some decide they can't associate with each other. Some people ignore the discrepancies and go on being friends. Others find the golden space of growing and learning from each other. How about you?

Here and there eyeing the eye. Eyes can be blue, white or green or simply black. But yet brown, mysteries. Eyeing my eye. Keep an eye out. Eye

If you ever wondered where the Eye was then you are not the first. For years people have searched for this Eye. But they have all looked in the wrong places, they all have not looked at what is right in front of them. Eventually, people gave up, they called the Stone story a myth and left it to rot. But what If I told you that the Eye is real. That the Eye is within reach. That the Eye, is right in your hand.

Two minute Tuesday

STONE

Would you believe me if I said that a stone changed my life? Because it’s true. It was because of that stone I traveled all the way from the Dry Lands to the Hileyos mountains. Because of one stone I endured hail, rain, cold, bears, Drabons, bandits. I endured all and more. Why? Because I need to be here, I needed to see it with my own eyes, and I did. Just because of one small smooth stone.

Stones are cool
Hard
Grey
Brown
Pinkish-red
Speckled
Striped
Crystallized
Full of surprises

Stone is cold
Hard
Unfeeling
Unforgiving
Gray
Lifeless
Empty
Void of hope

Stones are different
Unique
Different
Colored
Pebbles
Rocks
Gravel
Boulders
Mountains
Sizes

Stones are unique
Just like us!

Smooth stones on the beach, rubbed raw and round
Great big granite slabs, bulwarks against the endless waves
Both tell me more of me, of God, of life
One of how beautiful the rolling bashing waves can make
The other of how safe and secure I can be

Two Minute Tuesday

AWARE

Be aware of everything here and there, everywhere.
Just don’t be aware and you’ll be nowhere.
Here and there what a fare just be aware.

Who is aware?
I am aware
The wind from the sea
The clouds in the sky
The coming storm.

Who is aware?
Jasmin’s aware
The bird in the tree
The oriole’s song
The minute details

Who is aware?
Aiden’s aware
The rubix cube
The chess set
The soccer game

Who is aware?
Dad is aware
Logical fallacies
Theological questions
Accurate and direct
Who is aware?
Mom is aware
The unfinished house task
The beautiful song
The necessities of life

Who is aware?
GOD is aware
Of everything
Big and small
Good and bad

Aware
Noticing the things around you

When you’re one the run like us, you always have to stay aware of your surroundings. It’s not that hard once you get used to it but sometimes it's tiring. But as Morela says “All ways keep one eye out for any danger, all ways keep your ears pricked and aware” I try my best, but sometimes it’s not enough.

Ten Thousand by Grace

Ten thousand times ten thousand tears
Ten thousand times ten thousand years
Still could not start to express
The love that Jesus had for us

Ten thousand times ten thousand suns
Ten thousand souls round every one
Still would not begin to slow
The grace of God that ever flows

Ten thousand times ten thousand songs
Ten thousand, yes, we'll sing that long
Even still can not explain
The mighty work Jesus proclaims

Ten thousand times ten thousand chests
Ten thousand times ten men abreast
Still could not defeat
The army Jesus used to protect me

Ten thousand times ten thousand fears
Ten thousand pressures of my peers
Cannot steal the life from me
For Jesus died and set me free!

Ten thousand times ten thousand times
Ten thousand times ten thousand lines
Aren't enough to start to express
The love that Jesus has for us
