Cosy living room fires
Nova Scotia treelines, rocky and wild

Of living close to family
Slow living open to many
Hours with friends
Just a few more days
To pack up belongings
Wrap up involvements
Fold away friendships
Just a few more days
To begin moving
Hearts and thoughts
To our new home coming
Just a few more days
To live well
In the oasis
Of this in-between time
And then...
A winter road trip
In a packed car
Traveling far
And then...
A reaching for old memories
Remembering life
In this new-old place
And then...
Reaching past fear
Choosing to love
Engage, connect
And then...
New-old house and church
New friends and hopefully
Some old ones too
And then...
A settling in
Finding our place
And purpose for the now
And then...
Learning again to live
Far from Family
Friends across the miles
And then...
Starting again
Yet not - we've been here
We know and are known
